Long-term costs of long-term care

A recent Court of Appeal decision has delved into personal injury compensation, ruling that local authorities may have to assume main responsibility for the long-term accommodation and care needs of claimants. This is good news for insurers, says Geoff Owen

The landscape for compensation in major personal injury claims shifted considerably last week with the announcement of the Court of Appeal decision in the cases of Sowden v Lodge and Crookdake v Drury
