Uninsured motorists continue to be the bane of the insurance industry, but a proposed review of the situation involving all the interested parties looks like it may make some headway. Jo Dagustun, ABI head of motor, tells Rachel Gordon what she hopes this and other initiatives will achieve

Uninsured drivers are a claims manager's nightmare. The Association of British Insurers says one in 20 motorists - some 1.25 million people - are driving without cover and the numbers are rising.
