Summer heatwave could cause pothole nightmare for insurers
Insurers could see a higher influx of vehicle damage claims and more complex liability investigations after this summer’s heatwave played havoc with the UK’s roads.
The warning comes after the RAC found that intense heat and UV exposure caused roads to become more brittle and prone to cracking, creating conditions for more potholes to appear on UK roads.
