Flood risk causes £239 home insurance premium gap

Homeowners in previously flooded properties are paying more than double the UK average for home insurance, according to new data from Compare the Market.

The price comparison website calculated customers whose homes have flooded in the past are paying an average annual premium of £437 for home insurance, £239 more than the UK average of £198
