Lord Chancellor announces UK-consistent Ogden rate
Lord Chancellor Shabana Mahmood has announced her intention to increase the personal injury discount rate in line with Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Ogden rates in England and Wales will be amended to 0.5% for both nations, with the Ministry of Justice announcing the change following a review of the rate.
The new rates will come into effect
