Hastings sees profit slide 42%
Hastings’ share price took a tumble as it revealed operating profit fell 42% in a year that the insurer was hit by the Ogden rate and claims inflation.
The group announced its adjusted operating profit had fallen to £109.7m in 2019, down from £190.6m the previous year.
Shares came close to mimicking November’s year-low fall when Hastings revealed
