Haste linked to Direct Line bid
Former RSA chief executive Andy Haste is heading up a private equity consortium including Blackstone, Bain and Advent, with ambitions to bid for Direct Line Group, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper reported that plans for the bid, likely to be worth between £2.5bn and £3.5bn, are at an early stage. Sources told the paper that a successful bid could see Haste come in as CEO or
