McGill sold to EQT for $2bn

McGill and Partners and private equity firm EQT have entered into a definitive agreement in which the latter will acquire a majority stake in the former for $2bn (£1.5m).

Founder and CEO Steve McGill will continue to lead the firm, while chairman John Lloyd will remain actively involved. 

Both will remain as significant shareholders alongside the firm’s wider colleague
