FOS finally makes interim leaders permanent after Thomas exit
The Financial Ombudsman Service has finally appointed Jenny Simmonds as its permanent CEO and James Dipple-Johnstone as permanent chief ombudsman, almost a year-and-a-half after Abby Thomas stepped down from the top role.
Simmonds, pictured, and Dipple-Johnstone have been in the roles on an interim basis since February 2025, when Thomas stepped down as FOS chief executive and chief ombudsman after just over two years
