Cost of Gable collapse to FSCS hits £78m
The cost of the 2016 collapse of unrated insurer Gable to the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme surpassed £78m at the end of last year, a liquidators’ report has revealed.
The FSCS paid out £66.1m for damage claims in addition to £12.6m in refunded premiums as of 31 December 2021, according to the sixth interim report of the insurer’s trustee in bankruptcy, law firm
