Goubin chairs Luxembourg’s insurance regulator. The Commissariat aux Assurances examines the approval requests from insurers, reinsurers and brokers that want to set up shop in the Grand Duchy. And many firms have chosen to move some operations from the UK to Luxembourg to maintain good access to the European market after Brexit, including AIG, Aioi Nissay Dowa, CNA Hardy, FM Global, Hiscox, Liberty, RSA, and Tokio Marine. So Luxembourg’s Director of the Treasury is sure to have a big impact on the insurance market.
