80% of claims from Cyclone Debbie are residential

Damage to homes and contents have made up 80% of almost A$1bn (£590m) of claims from deadly Tropical Cyclone Debbie.

The powerful storm hit Queensland and New South Wales in March and according to the Insurance Council of Australia as of 28 June insurers had received more than 58,000 claims with a value of A$988m
