Aspen says Endurance's offer 'undervalues' company

Bermuda-based insurer Aspen's board of directors has rejected an unsolicited takeover proposal from Endurance Specialty Holdings.

Endurance proposed to acquire Aspen for $47.50 per share, 60% in Endurance common stock and 40% in cash.

Aspen made its decision after having assistance from its financial and legal advisors, and
