Ascot profits down 14% for 2013

AIG-backed Ascot Underwriting has announced profits down 14% for 2013.

The Lloyd's syndicate, for AIG provides the underwriting capital, saw profits drop from £93.3m to £79.9m.

The combined ratio improved marginally from 81% to 80.3%.

Lloyd’s profits fall to £3.5bn

Lloyd’s profit before tax fell from £4.2bn in the first half of 2025 to £3.5bn in the first six months of 2026, as lower investment returns offset a "strong" underwriting performance.
