FCA and PRA require 15% extra funding for 2013/14

The Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority have requested a 15% increase in their annual funding requirement for 2013/14.

Both new agencies' AFR total £646.3m - up 15% on the FSA's AFR of £559.8m for 2012/13.

The FCA AFR stands at £432.1m while the PRA requires £214.2m for their 2013/14 operation.

The 15% rise in total

FCA looking to address issues on claims definitions

Andrew Ruddle, the Financial Conduct Authority’s interim head of the department for insurance market analysis and policy, has said the regulator is looking at addressing issues about different claims definitions within insurance.
