Brit COR improves to 93.2% in 2012

Brit has produced an operating profit of £113.6m for the full year 2012 (2011 restated: £68.4m) and an impoved combined ratio of 93.2% (2011 restated: 99.6%).

Total profit after tax of £84.7m (2011: 76.0m), including the result from discontinued operations while gross written premium fell year-on-year to £1.15bn (2011 restated: £1.18bn). This included £847

Lloyd’s profits fall to £3.5bn

Lloyd’s profit before tax fell from £4.2bn in the first half of 2025 to £3.5bn in the first six months of 2026, as lower investment returns offset a "strong" underwriting performance.
