The Supreme Court has finally given clarity on the meaning of the 'trigger' words in employers' liability insurance policies. Families of former employees suffering from the hideous disease of mesothelioma now have the comfort of knowing that insurance policies written throughout the 20th century will cover this liability.

Over 2000 people die from mesothelioma each year and Unite the Union estimates that about one in eight of those have the disputed insurance wordings, which means that they could benefit from this
