14-day deadline for riot damage claims
Specialist loss adjuster Questgates has warned insurers to get claims in to the police for damage caused by riots within 14 days or miss out.
The Riot Damages Act 1886 says claims must ‘'be made in writing and received by the local police authority within 14 days of the alleged incident".
Questgates says insurers typically demand that claims
