Motor insurance underwriting losses more than £2bn
Underwriting losses in the motor insurance industry exceeded more than £2bn last year, according to figures released this week.
Advisory firm Deloitte found that insurers lost 20p for every pound of premium earned and posted a net combined ration of 120% compared to 119% in 2009.
