Postscript - 10 years ago: Broker team leaves Heath Lambert
Looking through Post's back catalogue paints a unique picture of more than 150 years of insurance news, as this highlight from 10 years ago reveals.
A second team of brokers has resigned en masse from broker Heath Lambert, almost a month after a 15-strong team left to join rival Lloyd's firm Alwen Hough Johnson.
Last week, Heath Lambert's executive director Colin Pavely and his 16-strong construction and commercial property team handed in their resignations. It was unknown whether the staff had lined up new positions at another broker as Post went to press.
William Wilks, Heath Lambert finance director, said the company would be sorry to see the team go, but that departures were a natural consequence of mergers. "None of our existing clients will be affected in any way by this as it is an area in which both sides of the company were strong when we came together," he added.
