US government predicts up to 23 Atlantic storms
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts “one of the most active [hurricane] seasons on record.”
The US government has issued its outlook for the Atlantic hurricane season, predicting an active year with 14 to 23 named storms.
Eight to 14 of those storms are expected to become hurricanes and
