Allied World Q1 profits rise
Allied World saw its profits rise by over $2m during the first quarter of 2010 despite continued competition on pricing and catastrophe losses.
The (re)insurer's net income climbed to $133.7m, or $2.52 per share, for the first quarter from $131.4m or $2.57 per share for the same period in 2009.
The company reported operating income of $61.3m
