Lloyd's insurer Amlin has backed a new underwriting agency which has been set up by the former chief executive of HCC International, Charles Manchester.
The insurer has taken a 25% stake in Manchester Underwriting Management, which will begin by writing professional indemnity. Mr Manchester has a majority stake and Michael Cant, previously a director
