Converium announces external reserve review date

Following the appointment of a leading firm of consulting actuaries to conduct an external actuarial study of the Company's reserves held in respect of the Zurich and New York businesses Converium has announced that the results will be unveiled on Tuesday, 31 August, 2004.

According to Converium the company is on track as regards these efforts. The Company will issue a detailed announcement and hold an analyst and media conference call on 31 August at 3 p.m. CET to
