Long-term care insurance to be covered under FSCS

Consumers of long-term care insurance are set to receive greater protection when new requirements come into force on 31 October, making all LTCI policies subject to FSA regulation

From this date the protection provided by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme will also be extended to include mortgage advice and arranging, and long-term care insurance products.
