Awareness of personal legal protection reaches all-time high says DAS

Awareness of personal legal protection has reached an all-time high, according to market leader DAS as it announces its Annual Results for 2003. However, the Bristol-based insurer warns that the market will need to produce an underwriting response to increased claims numbers and costs.

Headline figures show strong growth and profits broadly in line with the previous year. Gross Written Premium for the DAS UK Group as a whole (including other technical income) increased by over 25%
