The new chief executive of Willis UK and Ireland Brendan McManus unveiled plans to grow its broker network on the back of possible discontent at others. Speaking to Post he said: “One of the things that I think is attractive for brokers to become part of the Willis Commercial Network is that we are not going to sell their membership.

.“And I think one of the challenges at the moment for Broker Network members is how engaged were they in that sales process [to consolidator Towergate], are they in charge of their own destiny anymore
