Previsico to expand intelligence to more flooding types

Previsico’s head of product, Sam Wilks, has said the risk intelligence company will move to a “hybrid approach” to expand its coverage to multiple flooding types, as severe weather becomes more frequent due to climate change.

As climate change accelerates, Wilks said the number of flash flooding events experienced in the UK could increase by as much as four times by 2080, as predicted by Met Office Research.
