IPT receipts almost triple over the last 10 years
Insurance premium tax receipts stood at £88m in March 2026, bringing the full year total for the 2025 to 2026 financial year to a record £9.04bn.
Data published by HM Revenue & Customs today (23 April) showed the tax haul from IPT exceeded last year’s full year total of £8.88bn by £157m.
