2026 to see more ‘selective’ but still frequent consolidation

Insurance market consolidation is set to continue in 2026, driven by private equity exit cycles and specialist acquisitions, according to Sicsic Advisory founder Michael Sicsic.

Consolidation has dominated the headlines in the insurance market for the last two years, with large insurer deals, private equity refinancing, and broker acquisitions occurring almost constantly.

FCA vows to keep pressure on premium finance APRs

The Financial Conduct Authority has said it will “continue to put pressure” on companies offering premium finance in a bid to continue lowering annual percentage rates after revealing the impact its enforcement action has had so far.
