Hastings sends customers refund email ‘in error’

Hastings Direct has sent out an email to various customers claiming they are due a refund, but has since admitted it was sent out “in error”.

This afternoon (7 January), Hastings sent emails to multiple customers stating it had made a mistake causing them to be charged more than they should have been for motor insurance.

FCA vows to keep pressure on premium finance APRs

The Financial Conduct Authority has said it will “continue to put pressure” on companies offering premium finance in a bid to continue lowering annual percentage rates after revealing the impact its enforcement action has had so far.
