Heidi Alexander appointed Transport Secretary
Following the resignation of Louise Haigh as transport secretary, Downing Street confirmed that Heidi Alexander has been appointed to replace her.
Alexander, pictured, the member of parliament for Swindon South, was previously minister for courts and legal services following Labour’s election victory in July, and previously served as deputy
