Which? demands FCA action over ‘widespread’ claims-handling failures

Consumer champion Which? has launched a new campaign to end “the insurance rip-off” and has called on the Financial Conduct Authority to take tough action against claims handlers who fall short of the regulator’s required standards.

The campaign comes after Which? analysis of the claims-handling process found almost half (48%) of all people making a claim about home, travel, motor and pet insurance experienced at least one

Direct Line accepts £3.6bn bid from Aviva

Direct Line Group has this morning confirmed it has reached a “preliminary agreement” on the financial terms of a potential acquisition of the entire share capital of Direct Line by Aviva.
