Value of average insurance fraud hits record £15,000
The Association of British Insurers has revealed the value of the average fraudulent claim in 2022 rose 20% to £15,000.
Overall, the total number of fraudulent claims detected fell by 19% on 2021 to 72,600 cases and out of these detected cases, the number of opportunistic frauds dipped by 18% to 63,000 cases.
