Go Compare found accidental damage and escape of water made up more than half the most common reasons customers claim on their home policies.
Overall, 76,518 claims were made last year across the UK, with accidental loss or damage at home being the most common, reaching 21,681. This accounts for more than a quarter (28%) of all home
