Apollo and CVC accept Fairfax's £1.22bn Brit bid

Toronto-based Fairfax Financial has made an all cash offer for all the shares of specialist insurer Brit Insurance.

The 305p a share offer comprises of 280p in cash per share and the expected final 2014 dividend of 25p. This represents 11.2% of the closing price of 274.2p on 16 February (yesterday) and 20.2% above
