Mitsui Sumitomo sees Lloyd’s syndicate profits climb 50%

Pre-tax profits at Mitsui Sumitomo’s Lloyd’s syndicate climbed from £11.99m to £18.05m in 2012, up 50%.

Gross written premiums also climbed at Syndicate 3210, rising from 258.06m in 2011 to £302.4m this year.

Lloyd’s profits fall to £3.5bn

Lloyd’s profit before tax fell from £4.2bn in the first half of 2025 to £3.5bn in the first six months of 2026, as lower investment returns offset a "strong" underwriting performance.
