Motor and pharma recalls increase as overall total falls
The number of product recalls across Europe fell by 17.4% in the first quarter of 2026, marking the steepest quarterly decline since the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to data from Sedgwick.
After reaching a record 4,134 recall events in the fourth quarter of 2025, the total dropped to 3,413 between January and March this year.
