How to win and keep D&O clients

Given the current economic climate, Jimmy Heaton, head of D&O at Rokstone, says directors and officers need cover in his Insurance Post Top Tips video.

In his Insurance Post Top Tips video, Heaton recommends insurers:

  • Aren’t postboxes.
  • Keep it simple.
  • Always look under the bonnet.

To make sure clients understand the value of purchasing and retaining D&O insurance, Heaton said: “Keep it simple refers to being personal with the cover.

“Avoid some of the complex terminology that comes with insurance, and D&O, and keep the concept simple: what cover are you looking for in the event you are sued for your role as an officer or director of a firm?”

Over the coming weeks Insurance Post’s Top Tips videos will feature the industry’s leading lights sharing simple but effective ideas that could take your insurance business and career to the next level.
