The financial crisis and the resulting economic complications in Spain have caused a sharp increase in the number of directors’ and officers’ liability insurance policies taken out.

All companies, regardless of their size, are exposed to this kind of risk and as D&O liability insurance is clearly anti-cyclical, its uptake tends to be greater in times of economic difficulty.
