Generali to sell assets to grow insurance business

Italian insurer Generali is to sell non-strategic assets next year to generate cash to invest in emerging markets.

Chief executive Mario Greco, appointed in August, told the Financial Times that western Europe is no longer where the majority of insurance business lies.

He added that Generali needs to invest in
