Metal thefts from churches fall 60%
Ecclesiastical has claimed a victory in the battle against metal theft after recording a 60% drop in the number of insurance claims for the theft of lead and other valuable metals.
The insurer received just over 650 claims from January to July this year, compared with more than 1600 over the same period in 2011.
Ecclesiastical believes that the reduction is country-wide
