QBE appoints German country manager

Markus Posberg has today been appointed country manager for QBE's German branch.

Mr Posbery 9pictured) will report to Felix Jenny, general manager for the region, including Switzerland.

He joined QBE in 2005, initially to advance QBE's position in the German commercial property insurance sector. He has 19 years' experience in industrial and commercial insurance business, including a number of underwriting and distribution roles at the large German industrial insurance company, HDI-Gerling.

Mr Jenny commented: "We recognise the importance of local knowledge and relationships in delivering a focused and empowered underwriting operation. I look forward to working with Markus and the team to develop our business proposition providing specialist expertise with technical and distribution strength to our German brokers and clients."
