NI Assembly committee rails against insurer Covid-19 BI payouts as ABI grilled
There is a “real perception of intransigence from the insurance industry … [and] lack of willingness to engage and support business” during the coronavirus pandemic, according to Caoimhe Archibald, chair of the Northern Ireland Assembly’s Economy Committee.
Archibald made her remarks as the committee quizzed Alastair Ross, assistant director and head of public policy for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland at the Association of British Insurers.
