UK floods to 'significantly weaken' 2015 earnings, says Fitch
Ratings agency Fitch said the impact from recent flooding in the UK could weaken earnings for some firms and take the year combined ratio above 100%.
But the agency said insurers might still report a profit for the year in the sector as many were likely to use reserve releases to bolster their 2015 results.
