Australian farmer claims A$944,000 for crop failure

The first payout for multi-peril crop insurance in Australia is A$944,000 (£504,000) to a Queensland farmer.

Victoria, in Queensland, had a particularly bad year for farming in 2014 after months of below average rainfall.

Latevo International partnered with insurer Allianz last year, to offer the insurance
