Weather related catastrophes hit Markel's COR
Markel International has reported gross written premiums of $227.7m for the quarter ended 30 June 2011, compared to $187.2m for the second quarter of 2010.
Gross written premiums were $482.7m for the six months ended 30 June 2011, compared to $395.3m for the same period of 2010.
