Hardy profit nosedives in first half results
Hardy Underwriting Bermuda's profit before tax has fallen to £0.8m (H1 2009: £7.8m) after it was hit by a string of catastrophic events.
In its interim results for the first half of the year, Hardy has reported gross written premium of £155.9m (2009: £149.9m) and a combined ratio that has deteriorated to 101.7% (2009: 71.4%).
