Water damage creating costly commercial claims
Approximately 50% of claims made on commercial buildings and contents insurance are for damage cause by escape of water, property insurance specialist Cadogan Keelan Westall has found.
It also found the average water damage claim in 2011 was £2907.54.
The most common causes of water damage are from burst pipes, roof leaks, frozen pipes and blocked drains. In unoccupied premises
