Solicitors' PI heading for crisis in capacity

The solicitors' professional indemnity market could face a capacity crisis following controversial plans to retain the assigned risks pool until 2013, the insurance industry has warned.

Last week, the Solicitors Regulatory Authority outlined plans to scrap the ARP — the temporary fund of last resort for firms unable to find cover in the commercial market — in October 2013.
